Make Mollis Your Home Airfield
Mollis airfield combines excellent accessibility from the Zurich metropolitan area with direct access to the Alps. Within minutes of take-off, the first mountain ridges are within reach. Depending on the conditions, attractive flying opportunities also extend across the Swiss Plateau, towards Lake Constance and into southern Germany.
Self-launching gliders benefit particularly from the conditions in Mollis. The 1,800 m runway provides generous margins for safe take-offs and landings. A newly paved apron makes assembling and manoeuvring aircraft easy and efficient, while the location of our hangar directly at the runway threshold eliminates long towing and pushing distances before and after flying.
Qualified pilots also have access to our Arcus M, one of the highest-performing two-seat gliders available today, at rates that compare favourably with other airfields in the region. A versatile fleet for a wide range of flying ambitions complements the offer.
Despite our excellent infrastructure, we have deliberately remained a small and welcoming club. Short distances, uncomplicated procedures and mutual support are part of everyday life at Mollis. After a long cross-country flight, the day often ends in the shade of the Glärnisch, with time to relax, exchange experiences and enjoy the company of fellow pilots.
